don't look back in anger

Summer passed too fast. So I spent my last days in liberty once again in Vienna enjoying the flair of Austrians biggest city. I loved it, but I became aware that working in Vienna wouldn’t be my world. So I’m going to return there only to meet friends and have some party. On Saturday we decided to have some party in the `republic´ because `Flow´ was celebrating his 23th birthday, when some girls made him a really nice present, but ask himself ;-) It was really awesome in Sbg., especially meeting some new people is much easier than in St. Johann. Presently I’m preparing myself for my job at Liebherr Ltd. Obviously I should be a bit nervous what’s coming up, but surprisingly I’m not. Maybe my character changed in the last months getting conscious that my knowledge and working behaviour is not that bad ;-). I am a kind of balanced and hopefully old habits won’t die hard ;-) (According to Mr. Jagger’s song on the ‘Alfie´-soundtrack). Finally I would like to thank you – my friends – for the great time, especially this summer. Let the friendship still grow!

vienna calling

Last week I spent some days in Austrains capital Vienna. Ultimately it was the first time for me having a real “private” sightseeing tour through this huge city (compared with Salzburg). This time we decided to focus on culinary deliciousness so we visited a really nice market at the Rathaus, with multicultural meals served by Indians, Chinese, Spanish etc. Next to the market a huge video wall showed past Operas and the classic music was spread around the park where we enjoyed our meal and some wine. The day after we had some real delicious Sushi at Teka’s, some perfect Coffee in Matty’s favourite café followed by supreme “special-nougat-ice-cream”….hmmm. In the evening we went to ‘Fischerbräu’ the oldest brewery in Vienna with actually perfect beer and incomparable meals. But most of all I enjoyed having party in ‘Kju’, a stylish club with good music and the right people. Those days went over too fast and actually I am really a little bit disappointed not living in Vienna. Having a flat share with Rudi and Matty would be really fun. But who knows…

no tomorrow

A few days ago, I heard a nice new song right on fm4 performed by newcomer 'orson'. Checking out its lyrics I was suprised, that an ordinary song just perfectly reflects my present mood. For a sample check track 2 on orson's-website http://www.orsonband.com/orsonband.htm.

Let's go to a rave,
And behave like we're trippin'
Simply 'cause we're so in love.

Funny hats, shiny pants-
All we need for some romance,
Go get dolled-up
And I'll pick you up.

There's no line for you and me
'Cause tonight we're V.I.P.
(I know somebody at the door).
I see that twinkle in your eye,
You shake that ass and I just die,
Let's check our coats and move out to the floor.

When I'm dancing with you
Tomorrow doesn't matter.
Turn that music up
'Till the windows start to shatter
'Cause you're the only one who can get me on my feet.
And I can't even dance.

Just look at me, Silly Me,
I'm as happy as can be-
I got a girl who thinks I rock.
And tomorrow there's no school,
So lets go drink some more Red Bull,
And not get home 'till about 6:00.

When I'm dancing with you
Tomorrow doesn't matter.
Turn that music up
'Till the windows start to shatter
'Cause you're the only one who can get me on my feet.
And I can't even dance.

Everybody here is staring
At the outfit that you're wearing-
(I) Love it when they check you out.
Cover's only twenty bucks,
And even if the dj sucks
It's time to turn this mutha out!

When we're together
When we're together
There's no tomorrow,
There's no tomorrow
When we're together
There's no one in the world
but you and me oh
you and me oh
You and me

almost a perfect weekend

Yesterday we had a delicious cheeseboard at Matty's home in Sbg. After some bottles of wine (Chianti, Bolero, Montepulciano and Zweigelt) we went to the ‘repulic’, a really nice club in the city of Sbg. Finally we made it, after Matty and I were talking about to go there for at least 2 months. The music and the visuals were awesome and after a few minutes we were straight on the dance floor. We enjoyed dancing while being aware that our years of study are ending. Thanks for the great time! At four the republic closed and I went with some others to the probably smallest bar in whole Sbg., the “immernett”. A bar with app. 8 square meters ;-) and really strange people. One beer later, some headache and a real big smile on my face (thanks Matty for your support….hihi) we left and once again the clock stroke six, as so often, lately.

jobbq

Time is passing and all of us are looking for jobs. I’m really glad that most of our pack got already one. Therefore it was time to celebrate (once again bbq, this time in Fornach-City...hihi) last Thursday Rudi’s job offer at Austrian stock market giant OMV. Congratulation! If somebody told me 4 years ago that we would work at companies like PwC, OMV, Liebherr, BMW, KISKA or Citigroup, I would have said "You’re mad”!!! Especially, Matty got his job right in the morning after a really heavy “party-night”.
